Aaron Bogenschutz was hired in August of 2016 as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Support. Aaron currently works directly with the Archery and Men's and Women's Basketball programs and serves as the primary contact for these sports. In his current capacity he serves as the liason between the NJCAA, OCCAC and Hocking College's coaches to ensure that they are operating within the guidelines set forth by their respective governing bodies.
Aaron comes to Hocking College from Butler University where he spent 3 years as an Athletic Trainer for the Bulldogs. During his tenure at Butler he worked directly with the Men's Soccer, Softball, and Women's Tennis programs. Prior to his time at Butler, Aaron spent one year at the University of Indianapolis serving in a similar role as the Athletic Trainer for the Men's Soccer, Baseball, and Men's and Women's Golf Teams and two years as the Athletic Trainer for the Men's Soccer and Women's Track and Field Team at Northern Illinois University.
Bogenschutz, a native of Portland, Indiana, graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Science and a Master's Degree in Sports Management from Northern Illinois University in 2013.
Aaron and his wife Janel currently reside in Athens, Ohio with their son, Kellen.
