Zion Rhoades has announced his commitment to Indiana University South Bend, continuing Hocking College Men's Basketball's tradition of developing players and helping them move on to the next level.

A 6-foot-5 guard/forward from South Bend, Indiana, Rhoades made an immediate impact in his freshman season at Hocking. He was a team captain who started in every game and averaged 15.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting 55.5% from the field.

Rhoades also contributed across the board with 54 assists, 34 steals, and 20 blocks on the season, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor. His combination of size, efficiency, and activity around the basket made him a consistent presence for the Hawks.

"Zion is a guy who came in and immediately impacted us with his effort, physicality, and consistency," said Hocking College Head Coach Ben Patrick. "He's put in the work every day to improve, and this opportunity is a reflection of that. We're proud of him and excited to see him continue to grow at Indiana South Bend."

For Rhoades, the decision represents both a return home and the next step in his development.

"I'm grateful for my time at Hocking and everything the coaching staff has done for me," Rhoades said. "They pushed me every day and helped me grow on and off the floor. I'm excited for the opportunity at Indiana South Bend and ready to keep working."

Rhoades' commitment reflects the continued progress of the program, as Hocking College Men's Basketball remains focused on preparing student-athletes not just to compete, but to advance and succeed at the next level.
