Hocking College Women's Basketball Crushes Westmoreland, 102–22, for Second 100-Point Game of the Season

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. — The Hocking College women's basketball team turned in a dominant all-around performance on Monday, overwhelming Westmoreland County Community College with a 102–22 road victory in Youngwood, Pennsylvania.

The Hawks wasted no time setting the tone, using relentless full-court pressure and turning it into offense jumping out to a quick 30-5 1st quarter lead. The Hawks held the Wolfpack scoreless in the 2nd quarter, taking a 57-5 lead into halftime. It was the second time this season that Hocking College has surpassed the 100-point mark.

Freshman Arianna Fee led the Hawks with 19 points, including three 3-pointers, while freshman Aliyah Brock followed with 16 points and went 3-for-7 from long range. Lilly Weaver added 13 points and connected on three shots from beyond the arc. Hazely Wagner stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals, while Carmyn Woods powered the defense with seven steals and chipped in 10 points.

Defensively, the Hawks were sensational — forcing 31 steals and holding the Wolfpack to just three field goals for the entire game. The 22 points allowed were the fewest by a Hocking opponent in the 10-year history of the program. The Hawks also compiled 30 assists in the victory.

With the win, the Hawks move to 2-0 and will host NJCAA #12 ranked Schoolcraft College at the Hocking College student center on Wednesday November 5 at 5:00 pm.
