The Hocking College Women's Basketball team showed grit and determination in their first loss of the season, falling 76–66 to nationally ranked No. 12 Schoolcraft College. Despite the defeat, the Hawks demonstrated strong teamwork and resilience against one of the toughest opponents on their schedule.
Sophomore guard Lilly Weaver led the charge with an impressive 16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, notching her first double-double of the season. Weaver's energy on both ends of the court helped Hocking stay within striking distance throughout the game.
Freshman guard Aubriona Benjamin added a spark off the bench, pouring in 17 points along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, leading all Hocking scorers. Her aggressiveness attacking the basket kept the Hawks' offense flowing, especially in the second half.
Aubree Carroll also provided valuable scoring support, finishing with 11 points and a block while showing strong defensive awareness. Gianna Boyce and Hazely Wagner contributed 8 points each, combining for 3 assists and 2 steals, while Tori Rose anchored the paint with 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals.
On the defensive end, Aliyah Brock played a crucial role, holding Schoolcraft's leading scorer to just 9 points, well below her season average.
