Hocking College Rolls Past Edison State 87–50 Behind Dominant Team Effort

The Hocking College women's basketball team put together a statement performance on Wednesday night, overpowering Edison State in an 87–50 victory fueled by relentless defense, dominant rebounding, and unselfish ball movement.

The night belonged to Lilly Weaver, who orchestrated the offense with poise and power, finishing with a stellar triple-double: 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. Weaver also added two steals and a block, impacting every possession and driving the Hawks' fast-paced attack. Hazely Wagner led all scorers among the starters with 16 points while contributing 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and a block—showcasing her versatility and leadership on the floor.

Inside, Carmyn Woods and Hawa Ba anchored the paint with force. Woods posted 8 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and swatted 4 shots, while Ba added 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks of her own. Together, they helped shut down Edison State's interior offense. Gianna Boyce rounded out the starting lineup with 6 points and a rebound, hitting key shots to keep Hocking's early momentum rolling. Hocking's depth continued the dominance, turning the game into a showcase of team chemistry. Tori Rose delivered one of her strongest performances of the season with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, providing toughness and scoring punch off the bench. Aubriona Benjamin contributed across the board with 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, giving the Hawks steady decision-making and high-energy play.

Aubree Carroll added 8 points and a rebound, knocking down timely buckets to build the lead. Arianna Fee chipped in 5 points and 2 rebounds. Aliyah Brock helped facilitate the offense with 3 assists and 2 rebounds, boosting ball movement that Edison State struggled to defend.

The Hawks controlled the paint, dominated the glass, and consistently turned defense into offense. Their 87-point outburst highlighted just how dangerous they can be when firing on all cylinders.

With the win, the Hawks move to 7-2 and 2-1 in OCCAC play. The next home game is Saturday December 20 at 1:00. Tickets are $5 per person
